Neurodiverse Nature Navigators

Inafamaolek.us aims to build a community of youth warrior leaders rooted in their Chamoru and mixed heritage identities, we will encourage their own leadership choices and be a support for their academic, social, physical and mental health needs.  Our goal is optimal health and academic achievement for each and every youth while making connections with other Chamorus in the Bay Area to support our youth. Our ultimate goal is to create a community whereby they are confident and aware of the beauty of their Chamoru culture. We will be rooted in Chamoru stories, practices and concepts teaching language when necessary at fun and challenging  activities throughout the Bay Area.  We also understand the importance of becoming stewards of our environment, so students will have opportunities to take care and appreciate the land they are on and the Marianas. We are looking forward to meeting all youth and supporting their positive relationship with nature, love and knowledge of self and sense of belonging in community.

The goal of Neurodiverse Nature Navigators is to gather Chamoru bay area youth monthly at a local park for play, learning cultural practices and some language, contributing the youth voice to the Inafamaolek.us board, building life long and practical skills, participating in leadership opportunities is community and a celebrating the unique gifts each possess.
