Leadership:
Tauoa has trained his great nephew, Reno Tuufuli, and many youth in throwing the discus and shot put. Reno placed first at the United States Youth National Championships in the discus. At the University of Iowa, Reno was an All-American 4 times for his performance in Track and Field.
